The student ambassador scheme started out as a small group of Falmouth students. Today we have a large and dedicated team working to support the University and local events within the community.
The scheme gives Falmouth students the opportunity to get involved with aspiration-raising projects in the local community and to represent us at open days, higher education fairs in schools and colleges, and campus tours, as well as supporting a huge variety of other events within the institution and the community.
Student ambassadors support recruitment and outreach core aims and objectives. We develop and coordinate a wide variety of activities, events and programmes for the purpose of student recruitment and widening participation. Through the formulation and delivery of a range of on and off campus events, from open days, taster days and summer schools to UCAS fairs and community events, the Recruitment & Outreach team cover it all.
In all our projects, student ambassadors act as role models, talk about their own experiences of higher education, and encourage students to aim high. In previous years student ambassadors have acted as speakers at school and college careers days, run workshops, engaged with families at higher education information events, attended local community events, and helped other departments within the University at events they run.
We're currently looking for creative and innovative students to become Digital Student Ambassadors. You can find out more on the Digital Student Ambassador Scheme page.
