Sarah Molloy
Associate Lecturer
Sarah has over 25 years’ experience working across commercial, hospitality, and high-end residential interior design, bringing a rich blend of industry knowledge, creative expertise, and real-world insight to her teaching at Falmouth University, where she has been an Associate Lecturer since 2022.
Throughout her professional career, Sarah has held senior design roles within award-winning interior design and architecture studios. She has led the development of concept and detailed design solutions for hotels, restaurants, bars, and leisure venues, delivering projects from early research and spatial planning through to materials specification and on-site coordination. Her commercial work is driven by a deep understanding of user experience, narrative-led concept development, and the psychological impact of space.
Alongside her commercial portfolio, Sarah has extensive experience in high-end residential design, specialising in bespoke handmade kitchens and furniture. Her work spans full interior schemes, spatial reconfiguration, technical detailing, and the development of craft-focused design solutions tailored to individual clients.
At Falmouth, Sarah teaches across the Interior Design and Interior Architecture programmes, bringing an industry-focused approach to studio teaching. She supports students in developing robust conceptual thinking, spatial clarity, and well-resolved design outcomes, preparing them for the expectations and realities of contemporary professional practice.
