Falmouth University's Games Expo is an annual gaming event that celebrates the amazing work of our students in the Games Academy.

This year's Games Expo featured a diverse showcase of games, interactive projects, and cutting-edge work from our games, computing, and robotics courses

Our Games Expo 2026 will be held from 21-23 May 2026.

Games Expo 2026 Schedule

16:00-21:00 - Students, family and friends

The private view of our Games Expo sets the stage for a thrilling launch event, offering a special first glimpse into the innovative games and immersive experiences made by our students.

This occasion encourages our students to invite their friends and family, so they can share all of their hard work! Refreshments will be available in the AMATA café.

Please note this event is not open to the public. 

10:00-17:00 - Students, Industry VIPs

The Industry Day at our Games Expo offers students a unique chance to network with industry professionals, including 3D environment artists, UI designers, art directors and game designers from top studios including Climax Studios, Frontier Developments, Rebellion Games, Rocksteady Studios, Ubisoft, Spiral House, Distinctive Games, Fuse Games, That’s No Moon, Ballistic Moon, d3t, Jagex, Offroad Games Studio, Electric Square, Milky Tea Studios, and True Players.

Attendees will have the exclusive opportunity to participate in portfolio reviews, and networking sessions, gaining insights directly from experienced professionals across multiple disciplines.

This day is dedicated solely to students: alongside industry professionals and esteemed alumni, fostering a collaborative environment aimed at enhancing skills and forging meaningful connections within the gaming industry.

Please note this event is not open to the public. 

School visits

Schools and colleges from across the UK are invited to attend the Games Expo. School groups will have the opportunity to play a range of student-made games from foundation all the way up to postgraduate level.

Students will get an insight into the game design process as well as have the chance to meet current students and staff from the Games Academy.

18:00-19:00 - Awards ceremony in the Chapel.

19:00-22:00 - Refreshments and Pizza in the Stannary.

10:00-16:00 - Open Day/Public

The biggest day of the Games Expo will feature playable student games and interactive experiences from our robotics course.

Explore a wide array of activities:

  • Pick up a passport and collect all the stamps for a chance to win a prize
  • Engage with game development experts
  • Dive into the digital art gallery and explore our physical art booths
