Where Do You Fit in the Future of UX?
UX is changing quickly. AI is reshaping the tools we use, the roles available and the forms of judgement employers increasingly value. For students, career changers and experienced practitioners, it can be difficult to see where their interests and values fit, or how to take the first step.
In this participatory masterclass, Liz Coulter-Smith, Course Leader for MA User Experience Design at Falmouth University, will introduce the UX Futures Map, developed for the course.
This is not a personality test or a career test. The Map helps you reflect on the problems you want to solve, the way you prefer to work, the responsibilities you want to take on and the realities of current and emerging UX roles.
You will use the Map privately, with opportunities to contribute to the wider discussion through Menti and chat. You will leave with possible directions to investigate, questions to ask prospective employers, a practical starting project and a set of trusted resources for moving forward.
