About the session

Welcome to the start of dedicated business support sessions from Falmouth University: the Launchpad Masterclass Series. 

The session aims to offer a selection of Cornwall companies with the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively utilise social media as a powerful tool for marketing, audience engagement, and brand building. 

We'll cover hands-on advice and guidance to help support business growth, enabling companies to enhance their digital presence, connect with their audience more effectively, and leverage social media for business growth and success.

To qualify for this programme, you must be a trading business looking to grow in the next 12 months.

We'll cover five main areas:

  • Provide participants with a comprehensive overview of major social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok, and Snapchat.
  • Provide insights into key demographics and user behaviours specific to each platform, enabling participants to make informed decisions about where to focus their social media efforts.
  • Empower participants to effectively identify and understand their target audience.
  • Teach the creation of buyer personas, a crucial step in developing tailored marketing strategies that resonate with specific audience segments.
  • Encourage hands-on learning through a workshop focused on content creation for various social media platforms.
  • Stimulate creativity and strategic thinking by having participants brainstorm and produce sample content, emphasising the unique requirements and best practices for each platform.
  • Guide participants in the creation of a content calendar, a vital tool for organising and planning social media activities.
  • Focus on planning posts, events, and sharing strategies specifically for Facebook, with principles that can be adapted to other platforms
  • Facilitate a dynamic environment for sharing ideas and strategies among participants.
  • Conclude with a Q&A session to address specific queries and consolidate learning, ensuring participants leave with clear takeaways and actionable strategies
