Faye is Head of Television at the School of Film & Television, having joined the University in 2016. Faye specialises in Cinematography and is still practicing in this field, working as a Director of Photography on independent features, documentary projects and TV Drama.
Faye has been working professionally in the film industry for over 20 years, which has taken her all over the world and on occasion involved oddities such as filming underwater with big fake sharks or ‘miniature’ (actually quite large) submarines. Typically, however, Faye works as a Cinematographer filming incredible characters in both documentary and narrative film.
Faye has a wealth of teaching experience spanning back many years across multiple institutions. Her graduates have achieved great professional and personal success in international film and television industries. Faye’s approach to teaching is creative and inclusive, valuing each student’s journey above all, regardless of where it may lead them.
Faye is passionate about storytelling, in all its forms, and has just completed work on a feature documentary about intuition with two inspirational Icelandic Directors called "Innsaei - The Sea Within" which is now available to watch on Netflix worldwide.
