Falmouth Flexible Transition

Yours is one of several online courses that have been successfully delivered under the brand Falmouth Flexible.

We are undertaking a re-vamp of the current Falmouth Flexible portfolio, and from September 2024 will be launching new versions of the courses in a different online learning environment.

This will not affect your experience. Your course will continue as planned and you will graduate with a Falmouth University award. We anticipate that most students will not be impacted by this change, however there is a possibility you may need to move courses in future, if your studies are disrupted for any reason.

The following information will answer some questions you may have and will be updated regularly as we move through this process.

How does this affect me?

For most students, there is no impact. Your course will continue as planned until August 2026. This will give you the opportunity to complete and graduate as planned.

Any changes will be communicated direct via email, including full details of next steps and support available. At the start of your next study block you will begin to use a new Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), Learn. This is a user-friendly and intuitive system that reflects the functionality of your previous environment.  You will also have a new support team for any non-academic enquiries.

What happens if I need to pause my studies?

Any students thinking of taking a break in their studies will be fully supported to make a decision that is right for them.

There is the possibility that a break from studying could see your studies extending beyond August 2026, or having a planned return to a cohort size that will not meet your study requirements. In such cases it is possible you will be transferred onto the new course. This will be in consultation with your course team and with full support from the University.

What happens after August 2026?

All students working to complete their studies beyond August 2026 will be required to transfer to the new version of the course. There, you will be able to complete your studies and graduate as planned.

The course content will be comparable and equivalent in relevance, knowledge and quality of context and learning experience. Your previously studied modules, submitted assignments and feedback will remain accessible until you complete your course.
