Company Anaar explores the dynamics of heritage, love, and new connections. An author, Poppy, writes the story of two families joining through marriage.
She moves her characters through the challenges of joining cultures and personalities, creating a juxtaposition between the caring that forms out of necessity, the draw of unexpected romance, and the necessity of familiar support and gentleness when facing the unknown. The choreography is woven with ties to the choreographers’ heritages. Through their dance and friendship, they are finding ways to establish a stronger connection to their traditions, and develop a sense of what it means to be mixed race in their own lives and artistic practices.

Company Echo
Something is missing from the space, leaving us with a sense of unease. Why is this?
Using fast shifting formations, rhythmic musicality and movement, Company Echo continuously attempts to create something that is not there. Becoming increasingly affected within, we aim to play with the different layers of missing space and disconnections using a dysfunctionality of different styles.
