Further Success at New Designers

Following on from Lauren Henry's win at New Designers last week, Textile Design student Evie Crawshaw has picked up the New Designers Weavers' Company Associate Prize.

Evie's winning woven samples are inspired by gardens and landscapes that play with processes. She said: "I am absolutely delighted and feel very encouraged to have my designs and weaving recognised; it is so uplifting to have my hard work at university acknowledged at New Designers."

The Judges said: "Evie exhibited an eclectic range of exciting woven fabrics. Her portfolio explores a breadth of weights, yarn, structure and colour use."

The Weavers' Company Associate Prize is given to the most outstanding designer of woven fabric exhibiting at New Designers. Evie will receive a £1,000 cash prize.
