Head of Graphic Design

Bryan leads the subject of Graphic Design at Falmouth and is responsible for the undergraduate degree and future strategic developments of postgraduate study and research in the subject.

He is a graduate of Norwich School of Art and is an established designer with a 20-year consultancy career in design. During this time he was Creative Partner and Director at Lewis Moberly working for clients across the world, from their London-based studio. Prior to this he worked in a freelance capacity and for design consultancy Williams and Phoa.

Some of the brands he has worked and collaborated with include La Grande Epicerie de Paris, Barclaycard, Boots, Waitrose, Fairtrade, UBS, The Science Museum and the Barbican Centre, London.

His creative work across branding, packaging and print design has been internationally recognised through publication, exhibition and award. These national and global accolades include D&AD Silver, New York festivals, BBC Design Awards, Design Week, Eurobest and Mobius to name but a few.

Bryan has taught and led undergraduate and postgraduate learning and been examiner and moderator to universities in the UK and across Europe. He is currently External Examiner to Chelsea School of Art's Masters course in Graphic Design Communication and in his educational research work, focuses on information design and developing online studio environments for learning and professional practice.

Bryan recently completed a role as Trustee and Director of D&AD and has judged award schemes at professional and student levels, most recently for the Art Directors Club of Europe in 2013. He has worked with government and cultural organisations as board member and consultant, including the Design Council and British Council and has spoken widely, delivering talks to education and commerce audiences across the world. His work has been shown at the Victoria and Albert Museum, Saatchi Gallery and the Design Museum London and he is a regular contributor to journals and creative publications.

Bryan is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
