My current intention is to promote experimentation within fine art printmaking practices. I have over ten years printmaking experience, during which I have worked within a number of print workshops. My focus has been in traditional processes such as stone lithography, woodcut, etching and silkscreen printing.

I studied at Glasgow School of Art and Brighton University before completing a Masters at Falmouth University in 2011. After my MA I worked within the textiles industry before returning to Falmouth University in 2013. I am currently employed as a fine art printmaking technician; one of my main responsibilities is to induct, supervise and advise students on the operation and suitability of technical facilities, equipment and processes. Alongside my technical role I am studying for a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education.

Throughout my employment and studies I have continued to work as a practicing artist, regularly exhibiting my work. My most recent pieces were shown at The International Print Center New York’s autumn show Somewhere and Nowhere. The exhibition was part of a print biennale showcasing the vitality of contemporary printmaking across New York.

Falmouth University made it possible for me to attend New York Print Week and during my visit I saw many innovative printmaking processes. I aim to spend the coming years broadening my own expertise and experience, specifically researching into the latest digital software that can inform fine art printmaking.
