Welcome Week

Welcome Week 2017

Welcome Weekend is 14 - 17 September and Fresher's Week is 18 - 22 September. Look below to find out how we can help you settle in to university life.

Where to go

The Falmouth University Registration Desk will be at the Sports Centre on the Penryn Campus throughout Welcome Weekend (15 – 17 September). Here, you can pick up your Student Card and the keys to your halls of residence.

If you're arriving after the weekend, the Late Registration Desk can be found at the Compass, in the Exchange building on Penryn Campus.

What to do?

After you've done all the necessary paperwork, you can find out a bit more about what's happening on campus. On hand at Registration will be our student services, student records and finance teams. They can provide help and advice on all aspects of student life, including academic timetabling. Student mentors will also be around to meet you, make you feel welcome and answer any burning questions you may have.

Your student union, FXU, will be there to get you involved in sports, societies and socialising. If you've already purchased your FXU Freshers' Week wrist band, you can collect it here.

Registering for a doctor and getting a meningitis jab is really important and at Registration, we'll have details about our Penryn Campus GP Surgeries and other doctors' surgeries in the area.

Getting settled in

Away from Registration, if you need any support, student services can help you with a range of specialist services and information. It's the first port of call for enquiries about any aspect of student life. The team can answer your questions or signpost you to the relevant department for any further help you might need.

Drop in to their Compass spaces or log your enquiry through Compass Online. Penryn Campus: Level 0, The Exchange, Falmouth Campus: Lower Courtyard Email: compass.fxplus.ac.uk If you need any help with your university accommodation, Glasney Lodge is open 24 hours a day and can provide any support you need.
