Roman Dlapa
Lecturer, BA(Hons) Game Art
Roman Dlapa joined Falmouth University in September 2017, joining the Games Academy as a lecturer for BA(Hons) Game. Since 2005, he has been working in the field of graphic design, games and movies. Roman has studied BSc(Hons) and MSc in Computer Animation at University of Portsmouth, where he has contributed as a lead creature artist to the development of Stina and the Wolf project. In 2014 he has worked as a Senior Character Artist for Bohemia Interactive on DayZ Standalone and helped establish the foundations for the multimedia course at Art & Design Institute in Czech Republic. He has worked on many films and tv series such as The Musketeers (Season 3), Point Break, Gods of Egypt and The Great Wall. On his last two projects, the film Wonder Woman and tv series Knightfall (Season 1), he has worked as a crowd modelling and texturing supervisor.
His main passion and interest is in character and creature design. In his free time he is creating content and visual style for an upcoming indie VR game.
