Lecturer

Emma East graduated in 2011 from the University of Derby in Architectural Technology & Design, however her love of interiors was found during her year in industry, working for an Office Fit-Out company in London. Emma went on to win 'Best in Show' at her degree show and a place at the New Designers held in London.

This kickstarted her career in industry working for Resolution Interiors based in Somerset, where as a Junior Designer she worked for brands such as The National Trust. Wanting to expand her experience, Emma's next move was to high street retailer Lush. Here she was thrown into the deep end and worked closely with the Store Design Creative Directors on the flagship store in Oxford Street which transformed the brands vision for large scale stores across the globe. She worked collaboratively with Global Design Teams and Partner Countries to deliver countless store designs internationally. Her last project was as joint Lead Designer on the Flagship store in Tokyo, Japan.

Her latest role is back at Resolution Interiors where she has built a sister-design agency Field, who specialise in retail and commercial interiors, and has recently been short-listed for Overall Store Collaboration at the Creative Retail Awards. Emma continues to work at Field alongside her role here at Falmouth with the intent to bring more live briefs to the students, as well as, build relationships with suppliers and design agencies for the students to pursue to gain valuable industry experience.
