Dr Robin Kirby
Strategic Advisor to the Vice-Chancellor, & Secretary to the Board of Governors
Robin provides high-level strategic support to the Vice-Chancellor & Chief Executive, to ensure that the University delivers the 2030 Strategy and its associated targets. He provides cutting-edge strategic insight into local, regional and national political, educational and economic drivers impacting the delivery of the Strategy.
Robin is responsible for the strategic risk portfolio, oversight of the University's committee secretariat, and managing of external relationships with funders, Higher Education and Creative Industries bodies, and key influencers. He is also a Director of Falmouth Exeter Plus, the University's shared services company.
As Secretary to the Board, Robin leads the University's business through the governance structure, supports the Chair of the Board, and manages the recruitment of new Independent Governors.
Robin earned a Ph.D. in English Literature from Royal Holloway, University of London (2007), and is a member of the Association of University Administrators, and the Lighthouse Policy Group.
