Course Coordinator, UX Design and Indie Game Development

As Course Leader for the Games Academy's online master's courses, my responsibilities involve managing both Indie Game Development and User Experience Design.

After University, I worked in the software industry, starting off as an intern before commencing a PhD in computer engineering. Exploiting then-current gaming technologies, my research explored a unique area of social importance to medical education, with respect to patient and staff well-being, self-confidence, and contributions to healthcare outcomes in a human factors context. My PhD experience saw me develop a new passion for teaching and led to a job working as a Higher Education lecturer in game programming whilst completing and revising my thesis.

Following the completion of my PhD, I started my own company specialising in the delivery of software-, research- and creative-focused solutions that span a variety of domains, including video games, Virtual Reality (VR) experiences and simulation training.
