Dan Thompson

Senior Time Based Media Technician

After graduating from Falmouth University in 2014 with a BA(Hons) in Film Studies, Dan decided to carry on working and developing his own film production company that he and his colleagues created in 2012. Specialising in sound design, Dan has worked on several short and feature films around the UK working in all aspects of pre-production, production and post-production. 

Dan's digital skills cover a broad range of audio/visual technologies and software, being well versed in the Adobe Creative Suite and film equipment from DSLR and film cameras, lighting and projectors. Dan has demonstrated his knowledge through a varied portfolio of work including; narrative filming making, commercial advertisement, installations, theatre performances, and documentaries.  

Daniel Thompson started work at Falmouth University in 2018 as a senior technician on BA(Hons) Fine Art, but he has a passion to support and engage other courses and projects throughout Falmouth University.
