Abigail Edge

Abigail is a freelance journalist who has worked for some of the world’s largest media and technology companies including BBC News, the Guardian, and Google News Initiative. She is also a director and co-founder of The Society of Freelance Journalists, launched in response to the way the coronavirus pandemic is impacting freelancers.
An awardee of the Guardian's Scott Trust Bursary, Abigail completed a postgraduate diploma in journalism at City, University of London. As a freelancer, she has worked in both the UK and US for publications including the Guardian, Vice, and The Independent. She is the author of The Hunt Guide to Denver and is currently working on a book about coercive control. Abigail lives in Birmingham, UK, with a ginger rescue cat named Dylan.
