Students Work with Hall for Cornwall on Creative Project

Music, Theatre & Entertainment Management and Creative Events Management students worked with Hall for Cornwall this Easter on a Creation Space commission.

The commission funds artists to explore the research and development of a new idea for a week and invites collaborators into the rehearsal space to share this process. Dance practitioner and educator Angela Praed led a week of creative exploration as part of the development of her Traces project, where students participated in particular aspects of the work.

Kirsty Cotton, Talent Development Manager at Hall for Cornwall explained the students' role within the project: "Acting as social media curators, we explored whether it was possible to capture the development and sharing of the work via social media for other audiences. We also experienced the shift and change of need and focus that can happen during the R&D process. The students working on the project captured some excellent imagery and were an important part of the learning process for this project."

Adrian Bossey, Head of Subject, added: "This was great industry experience. Students carry out regular micro placements during the course; a process which aids reflection and really enhances their employability skills."
