Photography Student Wins BBC Award

Third year Press & Editorial Photography student Peter Flude has been named Visual Journalist of the Year at the BBC Radio 4 Today Programme's first ever Student Journalism Awards.

From a shortlist selected by prominent journalists Nick Robinson and The Spectator's Isabel Hartman, Peter's winning submissions were projects he worked on during his second year.

Stitchsmith Prize for Textile Student

Third year Textile Design student Lauren Henry has scooped the very first Stitchsmith Prize for Design for her unique, Japanese inspired bag design.

Hosted by the customisable bag company Stitchsmith London, the competition received over 200 entries from student textile designers across the UK. Lauren's pattern combining the style of Japanese folding doors and a sharp orange tone to emulate the setting sun triumphed over all other submissions.
