Artists Rosalind Nashashibi and Lucy Skaer will discuss their forthcoming exhibition at Tate St Ives with Sara Matson, Curator and Giles Jackson-Maffett, Assistant Curator, Tate St Ives.

Nashashibi/Skaer: Thinking through other artists combines collaborative films made by Nashashibi/Skaer with their own personal selection of historic and contemporary art that reflects and adds new meaning to their work.

Using 16mm film, Nashashibi/Skaer's projects often evolve from the art and artists that inspire them. For the first time, the full extent of their practice is shown alongside significant works from national and private collections by artists including Paul Gauguin, Henri Matisse, Paul Nash, Winifred Nicholson, Lee Miller and Rossella Biscotti. Each of their films becomes a starting point to explore key themes that resonate across the exhibition, from the changing portrayal of women and the representation of global cultures to issues around conflict.
