Who's the course for?

This two-part course, will teach you the intermediate skills needed to use Excel. This course is the second in a series of three courses and can also be attended as a standalone course. In this course, you will build on your knowledge learning intermediate level skills within Excel. This will include conditional formatting, importing data from text files, formatting tables, adding slicers and sparklines and finally how to visualise your data with charts. After completing all three courses in this Excel series you will receive an overall digital badge showing your mastery of the software and have the opportunity to take the MOS Excel exam.

  • Merge and unmerge cells - for accessibility

  • Define a named range and reference a named range across a worksheet or worksheets 
  • Create tables  

 

Session Two

  • Add or remove table rows and columns. 
  • Apply table styles 
  • Configure table style options & insert and configure total rows 
  • Filter records & Sort data by multiple columns 
  • Using slicers 
  • Pivot tables 
  • Perform calculations by using formula functions 
  • Create Charts & create chart sheets 
  • Add/remove data series and chart elements to charts 
  • Add alternative text to charts for accessibility
