We are committed to driving economic growth at a regional level, nationally and internationally.

Independent research1 shows that Falmouth University, along with the University of Exeter, Cornwall Campus, has contributed £491m to the regional economy over ten years and in excess of £140m to the UK Exchequer.

This growth is set to continue, according to a recent joint report with the Centre for Economics and Business Research. Not only is the gross value added (GVA) of the UK's creative industries set to surpass £100bn by 2018, but it will also witness rapid job creation.

Forecasts indicate that almost 1.4 million people will be employed in the creative industries by 2018, while sector-wide exports will increase at a compounded annual growth rate of 4%.

As one of the UK's top creative universities, we have a key role to play in realising this growth. By continuing to work with strategic partners, by developing new and innovative industry-focused programmes, and forging tomorrow's creative professionals and businesses, we are committed to securing this growth – both in the UK and internationally.
