After receiving her BA(Hons) in Fashion from St Martin's School of Art, Susan moved to New York and then Los Angeles. After working in menswear and active-wear she joined a private label young men's and junior company where she became responsible for design and merchandising multiple lines. Clients included: Saks, Nordstrom, Macys.
Susan's work covers everything from concept, fabric, and print development to tech packs and client liaison. Travel overseas included frequent trips to Hong Kong, China, India and Peru. She has extensive experience of working directly with factories and buyers alike, on both prototypes, production and sales.
Susan is leading the international research project: Design Matters - The Impact and Benefits of Design for Ethical Businesses with US academic partners and AIR.
