Rich brings an unrivaled array of games industry experience and connections with some of the biggest names in gaming to the Falmouth games degree programmes. Having previously worked as a games industry executive for many years, his credits speak for themselves - World of Warcraft, Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King, League of Legends, Elder Scrolls Online and Hitman. Rich served as a director at Zenimax Online Studios, Riot Games and IO-Interactive. He was also a member of the EU leadership team which built Blizzard Entertainment Europe into the powerhouse that it is today.

Previously CEO of Octopus 8 Studios, one of Develop-Online's most exciting Game Start-ups of 2014, he first gained involvement with games development students. Rich brings his impressive industry experience and understanding of the digital games market to students both as a senior lecturer and the Falmouth Games Studio’s Director of Enterprise. He has a lengthy background in leadership and executive management, and has a particularly keen interest in mentoring leaders.

A keen writer, Rich is currently working on a novel which is 'highly linked to many of his primary interests' and continues as a leader in the industry as the Studio Head of Round Table Games Studio, and as a director serving on the board of Anti-Matter Games.

Rich is invested in the evolution of digital games, particularly in the progression of the industry and ways in which games studios and the make up of digital games as a whole will change and manifest themselves over the coming years.
He believes that the harmony of education in games development, and the natural path into careers and business is an area for considerable evolution in the coming years, and has a strong desire to be at the forefront of such developments.
Rich is currently writing a fictional novel, and continues to explore a variety of different types of gaming from board and tabletop role playing games through multiple genres of digital games, with a view to maintaining a key understanding of trends in the way we see and experience games as a source of learning and entertainment.
