Before I joined Falmouth University in January 2016 I had spent 20 years working in the British film industry. I started with Movietech Camera Rentals in 1996 where I supported such productions as Chocolat, Hideous Kinky and Notting Hill.
In 2000 I left London and moved to Bristol where I started working for Aardman Features as equipment manager in charge of all the film equipment, whilst at Aardman I also started taking the stills for the productions and I served as the stills photographer for over a decade on such productions as Wallace and Gromit: Curse of the Wererabbit, Sean the Sheep, Creature Comforts USA and Pirates! In an Adventure With Scientists. The stills I did ranged form behind the scenes stills to full Posters to photographing the actors.
In 2012 I left Aardman and started working for Films@59 as a senior camera technician where i provided support for such productions as Casualty, Dr Who, Da Vincis Demons and Poldark.
My main expertise is in lenses used for TV and cinema production, also I am sill a driven photographer working on many of my own projects and I hope to use my skills and experience to help students be prepared for their first steps in the industry
