Jim Lowe MA Head of Subject Marine & Natural History Photography BA(Hons) degree. Has a Masters degree in Education, Creative and Academic Practices (Falmouth University). Taught on the course since 2007. Commercial/advertising photographer for 40 years. Andros UK, Nestle, Carillion, Cow & Gate, National Trust, Kinnerton Chocolates, HMA Architects, Boyes Rees Architects, Royal Crescent Hotel Bath, Lloyds TSB, Sainsbury's, Vodafone. Specialising in architectural photography for 20 years and fine art landscape photography for 17 years.

There have been exhibitions of his black and white fine art photography in the Wind Street gallery, Devizes, RUH in Bath, The Bay gallery in Penzance and The Poly in Falmouth. His architectural work has been on exhibition in School of Contemporary Art, Moscow and the Spinkz Gallery, London.

Organised and taught on the Academy professional development programme of the British Institute of Professional Photography for six years and was on the BIPP qualifications board for 15 years.

Jim is the current qualifications Chairman for the Federation of European Photographers based in Brussels. He has given seminars and master classes on professional photography in Moscow, Malta, Finland, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, Egypt and Austria. One of the first professional photographers to achieve the Federation of European Photographers, QEP distinction (Qualified European Photographer).

For the last eight years Jim has been Chairman of FEP qualifications panel, based in Brussels. He is a Fellow of the British Institute of Professional Photography. A Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society. Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Published a book on architectural photography in 2007.
