Popular Music graduate Dominic McKeirnan has been named as the winner of this year's Island Records Internship.
Dominic will join the Island Records marketing team for a year of fully paid employment.
Previous award winner, Joe Pym secured a permanent position within Universal (Island's parent company) at the end of his internship year, and last year's winner Selengi Poole-Granli has returned to her home country, Norway, where she is hoping to secure a position with Universal at their Norwegian headquarters, having been highly recommended by both Darcus and the Universal talent acquisition team in the UK.
The Island Records Internship Award is a unique scheme only available to music graduates from Falmouth. It was set up by Darcus Beese OBE, who is President of Island Records and an Honorary Fellow at Falmouth.
