Senior Lecturer, Fashion Design

I graduated from ArtEZ Institute of the Arts’ BA(Hons) Fashion Design in Arnhem, the Netherlands. After gaining experience at H&M in Stockholm, working on their first designer collaboration with Karl Lagerfeld, I moved into accessories as a buyer / designer for a Dutch footwear retailer, developing ranges in the Far East. Subsequently, I have worked as a design consultant for K-Swiss, Umbro, Asics and via Robe di Kappa made my entrance into the industry in the UK.

For five years, I worked for Central Saint Martin’s Innovation, Business and External Relations department. As the fashion lab manager of CSM’s design consultancy, I recruited and managed design teams consisting of designers with specific areas of expertise, such as menswear, womenswear, accessories, fashion graphics, denim, jewellery, insights and trend research. Projects included collections for the Chinese sports fashion market, quarterly youth culture and material development insights for Luxottica eyewear and various start-ups. The consultancy’s aim is to introduce students and graduates to the industry within the familiar surroundings of their own university, whilst working on professional briefs and receiving an income. Alongside, I started my teaching career as an associate lecturer at BA Fashion Menswear.

Before moving to Cornwall in 2016, I had just finished my first year at London College of Fashion, teaching on both Womenswear Design and Fashion Jewellery courses. With a varied background in sports fashion, casual wear and accessories design, I bring a mix of design directions and a large industry network to the fashion design team at Falmouth.

From 2022 – 2025, I am a member of the British Fashion Council, Colleges Council Steering Committee, which provides strategic direction to the Colleges Council programme.
