Since 2008 Philip's solo output has garnered awards from international bodies, including Prix Ars Electronica, Bourges/IMEB and Computer Space. Recent collaborations have led to work being shortlisted by WorldFM and Giles Peterson, with a history of live performances selected for the International Computer Music Conference, and as part of work commissioned for the Manchester Jazz Festival. Significant collaborative productions have taken place with Prototype Theatre (international tour), Linder Sterling (C4, Radio 4, Frieze Art Fair Original Commission), GPS sound-walk with Jeanie Sinclair, Lottery-funded aural history with Lucy Frears, and commissions for compositions in 7.1 by Stefano Amorese. He is a researcher with the AHRC funded Online Orchestra.  

Philip specialises in teaching electronica production alongside contemporary popular music studio production, and composing music for media.
