Business Engagement

Business start ups

I have been director, art director and character artists for a game called The Other 99. The Other 99 was created by a company I co-founded over two years ago called Burning Arrow. After incorporating, we pitched for and received investment to fund the further development of The Other 99. During production, we employed four additional contractors, amongst them two games artists. In this time I gained experience in project management, game pitching and communicating with investors. As an art director my responsibilities were to lead the overall visuals of the project, communicate with remote contractors and create game characters.
From the initial release of The Other 99, I had the opportunity to showcase the game to press at exhibitions such as GamesCom in Germany. Other industry events I have been to include EGX Rezzed in London where I was selected to take part in the Creative Assembly games jam.
