Up close and personal at Trebah Gardens - an exhibition
Visitors to Trebah Gardens between 27 February and 20 March will be treated to an extreme "up close and personal" exhibition in a collaboration between first year students studying BA(Hons) Marine & Natural History Photography at University College Falmouth and the garden.
MA Professional Writing student and alumni join laureates to bring national treasures to life
Alumni and students from Falmouth's MA Professional Writing are among the writers involved in a high-profile exhibition and book project. The project, 26 Treasures gives voices to objects in major museums around the UK and is in the last stages of gaining crowd source funding for the publication of its book.
Feature film Weekend Retreat shortlisted for the LoCo Discovery Award
BA(Hons) Film students who had work placements working on a two week shoot of the feature film Weekend Retreat are delighted with the news that is has been shortlisted for the LoCo Discovery award.
Falmouth Journalists take honours at top industry awards for second year running
University College Falmouth MA International Journalism graduate Polly Fields took top prize for her radio piece "The Speed Sisters" at the Broadcast Journalism Training Council annual awards which have just been officially announced. Polly travelled to the West Bank town of Ramallah as part of her MA Project about a group of women there who have defied many middle eastern traditions to take part in the male dominated sport of motor racing.
Shifting Sands - An exhibition from Guy Martin
University College Falmouth's School of Media & Performance is currently presenting an exhibition of photographs taken by Guy Martin while on assignment in Egypt and Libya during 2011.
Continuing Professional Development Unit launches business communications courses
The Continuing Professional Development Unit at University College Falmouth has launched three one-day courses in effective business writing, an introduction to social media and maximising social media for business. Further courses are in development.Matthew Oxley wins UK Wildlife Photography Award
Second year Marine & Natural History Photography student, Matthew Oxley has won the reptile, amphibian and marine life category in the UK Wildlife Photography Awards for his tricky underwater shot of a corkwing wrasse taken in Cornwall.
