Falmouth Students Hit the Big Screen with Frozen Performance on Christmas Day

It's a day of overindulgence but once you've had enough turkey and Christmas pudding remember to tune into channel 4 to watch Falmouth students perform a flash mob style dance to the animated movie Frozen.

You might spot some familiar faces perform the movies hit song Let it Go in a documentary about the phenomena surrounding the film on Christmas Day. As they dance you'll spot crowds of local residents, including little ones dressed as princesses, who joined in around them.

Senior Lecturer Praised for Innovative Design That Helps Bees

A special brick that can provide a home for the declining bee population has won a national award.

Well done to Kate Christman, Senior Lecturer in Graphic Design and co-founder of Green&Blue, who won a public vote to select the Soil Association's Innovation Award winner.

The bee brick was praised by judges for the way it repurposes a regular building material in such an innovative way and for the potential it has to be used in a wide range of building projects.

Students Showcase Striking Images at International Photography Exhibition

Stunning photographs were shown off by Falmouth students at an international exhibition in China.

Henry Osman who is studying the Masters of Fine Art (MFA) course, was one of 80 students from across the UK selected to exhibit at the prestigious Pingyao International Photography Festival (PIP), China's largest and longest-running photo festival.

Crocodile Tears to be Screened in London

The award winning animated short film Crocodile Tears by a recent Falmouth graduate will be screened at the Molinare in London on Monday, 15 December.

The film by 2014 graduate Darren Smith is an animated comedy of errors, depicting the misfortune of two crocodile con artists. It picked up the Royal Television Society Devon & Cornwall Award for Best Undergraduate Animation - well done Darren.

Falmouth Named One of UK's Top Creative Universities

For the third consecutive year, students have rated Falmouth amongst the top universities for creative scene in the Which? University Student Survey.

The Which? University survey asked more than 12,500 students to rate their university on the role that music, theatre, art and dance played in university life, as well as the amount of art-related societies, events and facilities open to students.
