Design & Engineering Director, Martin has more than 30 years experience as a general practitioner in product/industrial design and special expertise in the development of public transport and automotive technology (metro, light rail, trams, PRT, people mover systems, heavy rail, advanced car interiors, concept cars and electric vehicles).

Martin has also worked as a director of several high profile businesses, operating on a global basis, involving sales, marketing, tender preparation, contract negotiation, concept design through to production engineering, implementation and project management of major international transport system/vehicle development contracts. He is an advocate and innovator of sustainable, light public transit technology including guided electric BRT, PRT/APMs and very light rail.

During the 1980s, Martin worked as a product designer, becoming senior associate with DCA Design Consultants. During this period, he was working primarily on advanced automotive interiors for the PSA group, as well as Ford and Chrysler. Subsequently, he was responsible for setting up and managing a new branch office in Australia.

Martin was a founding partner of Warwick Design Consultants in 1986 and has since established various spin-out companies and joint ventures including Transport Design International (TDI).
