I have been a lecturer at Falmouth University since April 2013. I became a course coordinator in October 2014. I came to Falmouth from industry having been an independent filmmaker, festival programmer and director, educator, screenwriter and critic since 2000.

I am responsible for the practice element of the BA(Hons) Film degree, festival strategy and the School of Film & Television guest lecture programme.

I have written and produced award winning short films, curated and directed the Filmstock and Joe Strummer film festivals among others. I write for sites and publications including Clash magazine, The Big Picture and Directors Notes. I recently completed a professional doctorate awarded by University of Bedfordshire in the field of film education. I am one half of The Cinematologists podcast with my colleague Dario Llinares and have published writing on Beastie Boys, Manchester Movies and rock documentaries.
