I graduated from the University of Hull in 2002 after taking a BA in Music Technology. Music being my first love set me on the path of filming, editing and producing music videos for local bands. This helped to develop my interest in the moving image as well as sound and music.

I worked in London as a DVD author for three years before moving to Bristol to work at the Post Production house Films at 59.

Throughout my time in post production I became fascinated by technical workflows and working practice. Particularly with the advent of file based media. The hundreds of TV and film projects I have worked on include Frozen Planet, Doctor Who, Life, African Cats, Trollied, Great British Bake Off, The Mimic, Black Car Home and Marooned to name a few.

I have always enjoyed mentoring and training newer less experienced staff, combined with a desire to move to the warmer climes meant I was delighted to become a senior technician at Falmouth University in June of 2014.

Personal interests are wildlife and the great outdoors, and when I am not surrounded by technology you can find me in a gale on a coastal path.
