Jason Whittaker 'Mental Fight, Corporeal War, and Righteous Dub: the struggle for 'Jerusalem' in popular culture'

Jason Whittaker is Professor of English and Media Arts at University College Falmouth, as well as a technology journalist and writer. The author and editor of ten books, his most recent publications include Blake, Modernity and Popular Culture (2007), Magazine Production (2008) and Producing for Web 2.0 (2009), and he is currently working on an edition of essays on Blake's influence on twentieth century music, film and media.

Jason will be talking about the reception of the Blake/Parry hymn among the far left and far right since the 1980s.

These talks are not ticketed, so please arrive early to avoid disappointment
