Ways of Watching - A Winter Dance Symposium

9:30am to 9:30pm, 28 January 2012

Studio B and C, The Performance Centre, University College Falmouth, Penryn, TR10 9LX

Ways of Watching is a one day symposium exploring issues around how we watch dance. A panel comprising of Ric Allsopp, Nik Hafner, Angela Praed and Emilyn Claid will lead three discussion sessions exploring questions around performance as process, what it means to be an artist/audience in a regional context, and who owns the work? Discussion will be interspersed by the presentation of current work by local, national and international dance artists including; TRes, Emily Dobson, Malgven Gerbes and David Brandstaetter, and University College Falmouth students.

This event aims to bring together academics, dance makers, students and anyone interested in watching dance for a day of discussion and performance.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
