2010 sees the third annual DesignEd. In Cornwall exhibition at University College Falmouth. This three day event showcases the outstanding design and technology work produced by students at schools and Higher Education colleges across Cornwall and is the only large-scale exhibition of its kind in the country.
DesignEd. In Cornwall originated through a partnership between Richard Scott, Design & Technology Team Leader/AST at Richard Lander School, and John Miller, UCF's former Director of Design, who worked closely with Richard to turn his idea into a reality. In 2009 the exhibition presented work by more than 250 GCSE, Post 16 and undergraduate students from 27 schools and colleges.
To encourage the next generation of would-be designers and innovators, DesignEd. In Cornwall receives strong support from the region's business community who sponsor prizes in the following categories:
