Louise Manson

Lecturer

Louise Manson Louise has spent over 20 years working in the media - spanning a career in print journalism, broadcasting and PR.

Her first love is print journalism - she has worked for most of the nationals and many women's magazines. Cutting her teeth as a freelance health reporter for the London Evening Standard and The Independent she eventually went on to work on the health desk of The Sun where she was a reporter till she relocated to Cornwall. She has also worked at two PR agencies and as an in-house copywriter for the Post Office and British Telecom.

The five years she spent in broadcasting were at European Business News (CNBC) where she worked the graveyard shift on the news desk after her job at Swedish-owned station TV1000/TV3 relocated to Stockholm.

She has presented and co-produced a pre-pilot for ITV Flying Solo - challenging society's perception of single mothers.

Louise has a strong interest in law having spent a year working in the litigation department of international law firm Clifford Chance in London, before securing her first job in media. She also has first-hand experience of the family law courts, has taught court reporting at Cornwall College and passed her National Admission Test for Law (LNAT) earlier this year.

She studied journalism at the London College of Printing and has a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE). She is currently penning her first novel and her self-help book proposal has agent approval.
