Art - Music
Works mainly in a ‘live’ context using sound, music, film, installation and performance. Dealing with the relationships between the aural and the visual, sound and signification, music and noise. Films are distributed by Lux and have been screened widely including (2003) A Century of Artists Films & Video Tate Modern and Experiments in the Moving Image Lumiere Cinema (University of Westminster) and KYTN Dundee.
Collaborates with Bob Levene under the name of Automated Noise Ensemble since 2000. Work has been performed at various venues and events including: Dundee Contemporary Art, Manchester Cornerhouse, Globe Gallery (Tyneside) and a 12” vinyl picture disc Turntable Strings is available from RER Megacorps.
In addition perform individually and collaboratively as an improviser/composer using percussion, strings and other stuff.

Curating and arts management
Co-founded & run Hull Art Lab 2004-6 (with Espen Jensen & Bob Levene). Based in a large warehouse Hull Art Lab presented many exhibitions & events and worked with one-hundred-and-twenty local, national and international artists from: UK, China, USA, Hungary, France, Norway, Holland and Japan.
Adviser and assistant for ArtRole (artists exchange with Kurdistan-Iraq) Founder member & Chair of Hull Time Based Arts 1984-2003 Curator of regular experimental cinema programmes for Hull Screen plus other venues and festivals.
