christina_bunceChristina has fifteen years’ experience as a journalist, author and content strategist, specialising in health, medicine and medical politics.

She has written for publications including The Guardian, Woman magazine, The London Evening Standard and The British Medical Journal. She has worked on news and feature desks as well as editing a number of print and online publications for doctors and nurses. She established and ran a multimedia company specialising in healthcare content for clients such as the Health Education Authority, the Royal College of Nursing and major pharmaceutical companies, and has worked as a web strategy consultant to small businesses. As Content Director of Miriam Stoppard Lifetime she developed an innovative cross-media content strategy for this online healthcare business. Christina has also written a number of books on family health, medicine and related issues.

Since coming to Falmouth three years ago she has overseen the development of the Professional Writing course into a Masters degree that reflects the realities of making a living as a writer. The course enables students to become aware of their own abilities and professional aspirations whilst successfully raising the profile of the course among potential employers.

Christina is currently writing a ‘sort of’ novel. She is also an external examiner at the University College for the Creative Arts in Surrey.
