Tony has had a lifelong interest in diving and underwater photography and has logged more than 3,000 dives in many parts of the world. His articles and images have appeared in national and regional media, such as The Guardian, the Times, BBC Wildlife Magazine and Cornwall Today

He started his career in London as a journalist working in both production and editorial. Tony moved to Cornwall some 20 years ago as a freelance journalist and has latterly specialised on environmental issues. He is a member of the advisory group for the Falmouth and Helford Special Area of Conservation and the Helford Voluntary Marine Conservation Area where he has researched and produced a report on the vulnerable Helford eelgrass beds. Tony is also a former secretary of the British Society of Underwater Photographers.
