Russell Clarke

Programme Leader, Digital Media and Film

Russell Clarke has been Course Leader for Digital Media (formerly Broadcasting) since 1993 and is now Programme Leader for Digital Media and Film. Prior to his work in education, he spent a number of years in commercial sound recording and post-production. Building upon this experience, the major focus of Russell’s teaching is in music recording and production, radio documentary and drama, and TV audio design and post-production.

Research activity in ‘third cinema’ has resulted in an enduring interest in culturally-specific audio-visual forms and their relationship to national, regional and local identities. This has found its expression through published articles, conference papers and radio documentary projects.

Most recently, Russell has been involved in a project, with partners, to develop a Community Radio Station for Falmouth, Penryn and the outlying areas.
