Ann Owen

Part-time lecturer

Ann OwenAnn Owen graduated with a first class BA(Hons) in animation from the Surrey Institute of Art and Design in 1999 and continued at the college as a research assistant in the newly formed Animation Research Centre.

In 2000 she was given the opportunity to work as a stop-motion animator on the children’s television series Bob the Builder. She later returned to the Surrey Institute to lecture in stop-motion animation and puppet-making and became involved in all areas of the course, specialising in the history and theory of animation.

In 2007 she moved to Cornwall and is currently a self-employed artist and part-time lecturer on the new digital animation course at University College Falmouth.
