Sally-Ann Gill

Senior Lecturer

Sally-Ann GillSally-Ann studied at UCA Farnham and at the Royal College of Art, specialising in woven textiles. She was a freelance designer and colourist for Liberty for some years and then a Research Fellow at UCA Farnham where her work was focussed upon the translation of hand weaves into power loom small scale production whilst retaining the qualities and beauty of hand woven fabric.

Sally-Ann has been Senior Lecturer on the Textile Design programme since it began in 2000 and established the weave area of the programme. She is passionate in her teaching of woven textiles and proud of the range of technical equipment available to weave students at Falmouth, which includes traditional table and dobby looms and a computer controlled power Jacquard loom.

Sally-Ann is currently involved in a secret international textile project entitled "Metamorphosis" and she is not allowed to speak about it until it is launched!
