Fiona Sperryn

Fiona SperrynFiona is a textile designer who manages to combine a love of weave and drawing with her passion for languages and travel.

Having gained a BA(Hons) degree in Modern Languages at the University of Bristol, Fiona completed the BA(Hons) Textile Design degree at Falmouth as a mature student. After an MA in Constructed Textiles at the Royal College of Art, she has returned to live and work in Cornwall.

Drawing is an integral part of her own practice and her woven textiles are inspired by evolution, biodiversity and her environment. She interprets her drawings through a wide variety of woven structures and techniques to create unique luxury fabrics for hangings and interior furnishings.

Fiona strives for innovation and excellence in sustainable practice, pushing creative boundaries in hand weave and with the digital jacquard loom.
