Keryn originally studied at Falmouth College of Arts, on what was then the 4 year Graphic Information Design BA (Hons). During her study, she worked as a freelancer for Brann Communications in Cirencester working on key accounts such as Guinness and Norwich Union. Keryn spent time in London working for Robin Johnson Design and Design Net after graduating in 1997. Key accounts included: Weatherspoons, Ladbrokes, Deloitte & Touche, Scalextrix and Hornby. Keryn was then approached by Timothy Guy Design to design and co-ordinate a project for The Caribbean Tourist Organisation.

Following years of experience working with blue chip accounts, in 2001, Keryn formed the award winning company KMR Media Communications, KMR is a company focussed on collaborative and client driven brand, internet, print, exhibition design and development solutions. Clients include: The Eden Project, Enterprise West Cornwall, Cartwheel, and more.

In 2006 Keryn successfully sold her business so she could invest her time more fully with University College Falmouth. She now is a key player in the delivery of Interactive Design lectures and teaches both on BA(Hons) Graphic Design and BA(Hons) Illustration. She also has taught postgraduate students at MA level. Although Keryn now dominantly focuses on her teaching career she continues to maintain her connections within the commercial sector with the intention of always being in-sync with what developments occur within industry and the business world. Keryn is currently commissioned as a business consultant, giving advice to SMEs nationwide. She also remains committed to expanding her own skill base; her more recent professional interests have lead her into the realms of interactive digital animation.

Keryn’s aim for the next few years is to undertake an MA in Digital Media. As a mother of two young boys Keryn finds she does not have a great deal of spare time, however she does enjoy sailing, painting and socialising.
