Sarah Darkin: Marine & Natural History Photography BA(Hons)
For the previous 10 years I worked
professionally as a chef. My passion for catering slowly faded over the years
and photography and an inquiring mind for the natural world replaced it. I self
taught myself photography for 4 years whilst working but started to feel the
need for more information on the technique skills of photography and knowledge
of the natural world. I browsed the web for courses and came across the Natural
history and marine course in Falmouth. It was perfect for me and l was very
pleased to be accepted.
The course has improved my craft skills and
allowed me to work with kit I wouldn't otherwise be able to get my hands on, enabling me
to gather a vast amount of skill and information needed on equipment. I'm open
minded to where the course will take me, I have so much to learn I think it
would be closed off of me to narrow my choices. I'm
learning that there are so many options the skills we are being taught could be
used for that choosing one would be thoughtless and at the moment I'm happy exploring science, art and technology.
