I came to Falmouth in 2006 from Singapore, as I was told it was one of the top places to study Graphic Design in the UK. One of the great things about studying in Falmouth is how friendly people are and its relaxed atmosphere. I loved the fact that I could walk around town and see someone I knew every few minutes, making me feel like part of a community.
My experience studying at Falmouth was nothing short of amazing. It really changed me and helped me grow as an individual. During my time here, I founded an international society, became a student ambassador and a student mentor as well. I made so many new friends from all over the world and I feel like I played an important part in their experience here.
Before the term started every academic year, I worked with the International Office to help with the meeting service at Heathrow. I enjoyed meeting the new international students and being one of the first faces they saw when they reached the UK. I also helped out with the orientation programme the international students go through in the first week.
The friendships that I made over the three years and the amazing people that I've met since being in the UK, have all made a huge impact on my life. The experiences I had here, liaising with people and organising events for the International Society also helped a lot with my confidence. I would highly recommend Falmouth to anyone who is thinking of studying in the UK.
